Captain Guy Terwilliger has over 30 years of fishing experience in Kona waters, he will customize your fishing charter to fit your specific requirements for light tackle, fly fishing, night fishing, bottom fishing or Tournament fishing. Beginners are welcome and advanced anglers will enjoy the experience that Guy brings to the day of fishing. Always looking for the grander or trophy catch of a lifetime for his clients, Guy encourages the release of billfish and takes every effort to revive the fish so it can swim away from the boat after the catch has been photographed.
The fact remains that we still fish for a living here in Kona and that is great incentive for us to produce fish for you to angle. One way to ensure future fish populations is to tag and release Marlin that are in good shape to survive. One way to ensure my future as a charter boat captain is to produce lots of fish, some of which we will tag and release at your request. Some of the fish we will take to market. The rest we will enjoy on your BBQ or mine.
The winter months (November - April) bring an abundance of Mahimahi (dorado) and ono (wahoo), as well as spearfish, ahi (tuna) and striped marlin. All good eating fish! Great fun on lighter tackle!
The summer months (June - September) bring the big blue marlin in large numbers and Captain Guy will fish everyday for the trophy blue marlin catch. Tournament dates fill up fast, summer days should also be reserved well in advance.
